I was born and raised in Puerto Rico. Four years ago, I had the opportunity of moving to New Jersey. For me, teaching represents a process where I connect, deliver and impart lifelong knowledge.
I started receiving Music lessons when I was in middle school. When I was in high school, I made the decision to focus on taking voice lessons and entering a choir. From that moment on, I knew I wanted to be a Music teacher. It was a privilege for me to join some of the most outstanding choral groups in the Caribbean and go to competitions, festivals, record on the studio, and perform internationally. In addition, I had musical theatre experience and as a solo singer for weddings, churches and events.
This is my third year at Jefferson School. The grade of the class is split into two categories: Participation and Classwork. I expect students to engage in class, complete projects and homework on time, and perform online or live. Students will use Schoology to submit the materials for my class.
Jaguars, you have so much talent! I believe in you and what you can do. This year will be totally focused in music performance. It is fundamental students practice and learn the music covered in class.
Schoology is my main communication area with students and parents, so please log in weekly to take a look at the emails and reminders. You can also email me at [email protected]
I am available to meet with parents/ guardians to discuss student progress. Please call the Parent Liaison at 201-348-5960, ext. 78503, to schedule an appointment.
