Assessments/Tests:
Reading Selection Test: Students will be given a reading selection test every Friday. The test is divided into the following four sections: Vocabulary, Phonics, Comprehension, and Written Selection. Some weekly tests will consist of NJSLA Questions along with a Prose Constructed Response (PCR) for the story of the week.
Spelling Test: Students will be given a spelling test every Friday. The spelling words can be found in their spelling notebooks. They are color coded to focus attention on our weekly phonics skill.
Math Test: Students will be given a math test approximately every two weeks once a topic is completed. Students will be notified prior to the test date. Before the test date, students will be given a math review sheet for homework. This will allow them to review the strategies that were introduced to them during instruction time.
Spelling Test Notebooks:
Once tests are graded, they will be placed in your child's yellow Jefferson folder. Please sign and review the test at home with your child. Kindly return the notebook as soon as possible. Grades can also be viewed on the parent portal.
