Biography
I  taught 1st grade/bilingual at Thomas Jefferson Elementary School for the past 15 years. Last year,  I had the opportunity to embark on a new adventure as a 2nd grade/bilingual teacher. I enjoy working with the bilingual population being a product of bilingual education myself. I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Special Education from New Jersey City University in May 2004. I received my Bilingual Certification in 2006 and graduated with a Master of Art in Urban education in 2015.

I'm available to meet with parents/guardians to discuss students' progress. Please call the Parent Liaison at 201-348-5960, ext 3111, to schedule an appointment. Other times available upon request.

Classroom Procedures and Policies 
 
School Folders- Every day, your child will bring home a folder with all of their graded work and important school information. Please take a few minutes to review the papers and comments, sign and date them, and return them to school with your child the following day.
 
Homework- Reading, writing, and spelling homework goes home every day in the school folders. Students will also bring home a spelling notebook to practice their spelling words every day.
 
Assessment, Test, and Quizzes- Every Friday, I give the class their spelling and reading tests. Please sign and return all tests the next following school day. Math tests will be announced a week before the test is giving with the exact date.
