Hi, my name is Dr. Eric Williams and I am the social worker here at Thomas Jefferson elementary school. I have worked in the Union City school system for over twenty years. Jefferson school is a very special place for me for several reasons.  I began my career as a school social worker right here at Jefferson school in 1996!  Going back even further,  I was born and raised in Union City.  I grew up in the neighborhood surrounding Jefferson, spending my days playing in Jefferson schoolyard and even attended Jefferson as a student.  As the school social worker, my role here at Jefferson is to support your child's social and emotional growth.  I work with our school's administration and teachers to help children develop into happy, well-adjusted young learners. Working with students individually, in small groups and in classroom settings, my goal is to provide students with any support they might need in order to succeed.  

 

I am available to meet or speak with you by phone during normal school hours:  Monday-Friday from 8am-2:30pm.  Appointments can be made through the main office but are not required, especially if you have immediate concerns. I look forward to meeting you to discuss how we can work together to help your child reach their full potential here at Jefferson school.
