The Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights Act requires that the week beginning with the first Monday in October be designated as the Week of Respect in New Jersey.
In recognition of the importance of social and emotional learning and character education, school districts are required to observe the week by instruction focusing on preventing Harassment Intimidation and Bullying.
The first Monday of each October is also Blue Shirt Day - World Day of Bullying Prevention that signifies the importance of Bullying Prevention Awareness. Thomas Jefferson School participated in GO BLUE! Blue Shirt Day in order to STOMP OUT BULLYING!
