Second Grade Celebrates the Polar Express

The Second Grade students were in for a delicious treat when they attended Thomas Jefferson's Annual Polar Express hosted by the Second Grade Teachers. The students were able to exchange their golden ticket for a tasty cup of hot chocolate and a piece of golden cake adorned with a miniature candy cane.

Prior to the screening of the Polar Express movie, a special visitor came to see us! No, it wasn't Santa this time, but instead it was no other but our very own "TJ" the Robot! With the assistance of Mr. Petric, TJ so enthusiastically read "T'was the Night Before Christmas" to our students! The students were intrigued by TJ's storytelling skills!

When the students returned back to the classroom, they discovered a jingly surprise. They found a letter and a bell necklace delivered by S.C. The bell necklace are for the true believers of Christmas !

Special thanks to Ms. De La Torre for organizing the event and the Thomas Jefferson Staff and Parents that made this day magical for all of the Second Grade students!

Happy Holidays!
