October is Fire Prevention Month and at Jefferson School, the students learned some important safety skills thanks to the visit from the North Hudson Fire Department that came with their mobile home to teach the students how to prevent fires and what to do in case a fire breaks out. The Firemen want to raise awareness about fire safety and help ensure that homes and families are prepared in the event of an emergency. These firemen also brought goodies for the students.
