Pre- K Classes Visit Van Saun County Park Zoo

Thomas Jefferson School Pre-K classrooms visited Van Saun County Park Zoo. Students spent the day learning, exploring, and making observations of the different animals and their habitat. These young learners were able to make real-life connections as they compared wild and domestic animals such as bison, reptiles, birds and farm animals. Students enjoyed taking a train ride around the park and seeing the park grounds from different angles.

The day was filled with excitement and many fun activities including a carousel ride, an outdoor picnic and exercising in the Zoo’s child-friendly playground!
